Bos-Bos is 19 Months Old - What?!

Dear Boston,

      Wow, son, you sure have grown into such a big boy.  It's an absolute blast to watch you continue to grow - physically and mentally.  Very frequently, we find ourselves completely amazed at how intelligent you are.  You have completely mastered your numbers 1-9 and the entire alphabet.  That is, when we ask you to find us a particular number or letter, you can point right to what we have asked.  It is so fun, and it makes us incredibly proud of you and re-assures us that you are going to be a good learner.  But, there is work to be done.  You seem to enjoy being stubborn in not wanting to speak.  You like to mimic certain sounds, but for some reason you refuse to repeat words, except for "Momma, Da-Da, car, cow, ba (ball/balloon), De (Jet), ssss (the letter S) and dat (that) ."  Oh well, we'll take it for now.  Plus, it gives us something to look forward to.

      You are a great son.  Your parents love you dearly.  We would not change a thing about our lives with you.  No matter how hard of a day we might have, seeing you and just being in your presence makes us happy and reminds us of what is most important in life - family.  We hope you love us as much as we love you.

      This month, you had a lot of fun first's:

*  you started eating directly on the table instead of your booster chair.
*  you got your first placemat.  Thomas the Train placemat.
*  you have started to yell, "MA" when waking up from naps.
*  you got a new water table to play on outside.
*  you got 2 new foods added to your menu this month: vanilla wafers and cantaloupe
*  you made your first painting with edible paint on canvas.
*  you've started to open your books and blabber as if you're reading them.  ha.
*  you went to the zoo for the first time!
*  you got strep throat and a double ear infection (for the first time).
*  you celebrated your 2nd Easter with us!
*  we left you over night (2 nights) with your Grammy and Grandaddy for the first time, but they sent mommy and daddy many many pictures and video of you. :)
*  you had your 18 month check-up.
*  you are still wearing 18-24 month clothing.
* you wear size 7 & 8 in shoes.
*  you have started to dislike baths/water.
*  you started raising your hands to be held while doing a squeezing motion with your hands (like your squeezing lemons, ha).  it's quite cute.
*  you learned where up & down is.  you love pointing, up & down.  ha
Video here.
*  you started moving your arms through your car seat straps to get out of your car seat on your own.
*  you love to dance when you see mommy or daddy dancing.
*  you like to have your hands and face cleaned after eating.
*  you've started doing "dancy feet, dancy feet!" (video coming soon)  :)

There is no love like ours for you,
Mommy and Daddy

Just popped over from Kelly's Korner. My baby boy is just a month younger than your Boston. I read your birth story and am just amazed. The words your husband wrote about you brought tears to my eyes. There is nothing more beautiful than an evident love between spouses.
