Making Memories Weekend

We had a very low key/relaxing weekend.  Just the kind I like.  I yearn for these often.  As much as I like to be on the go and do things, I also love being with my two favorite boys alone at home getting some much needed quality time.  I'm all over it like sausage gravy on biscuits.  Yup, I just went there.

The weather was chilly and raining....perfect snuggling weather.

So, that's just what we did this weekend...well, except for Saturday night.

This is what our Saturday looked like.....us watching Baby Einstein with the B-ster.  Or Bos Bos (as his daddy calls him).
(notice the dots on B's face?  yeah, those are the Christmas tree lights reflecting off my camera lens. )

This is what our Saturday evening looked like....
We all got bundled up and headed out to our cute little town's Christmas Parade.  A tradition that I wanted to start for our little family.  Me lovey traditions.  (i made that up, don't judge).  :-)
Gingerbread men!  Boston wasn't quite sure what to think of them and seemed a little frightened at first.  Then he just flat ignored them.  But daddy liked them so I took daddy's picture with them.
I'm in love with his owl hat.  I'm now trying to teach him to say...whooo whooo.  Uh huh, I'm that mom.  Anyway, that darling little hat is courtesy of the beloved Etsy!

Thank you my dearest husband for the AW-some hot chocolate.  I've never had such sweet, creamy, chocolat-y hot cocoa, ever.  I even drank it all. That's how good it was.
 Clapping for.....
.....our service men and our flags.  Gotta love the good ol' U.S. of A!
The firetruck sirens were L-O-U-D!  Hope B's ears weren't scarred for life.
Each float/car/truck would throw out some candy.  Jer raced to get some towards the end since that umbrella lady would grab every single piece of candy.  We didn't need any candy anyway because my sugar grubbing self would end up eating it all.  And we all know my boo-tay doesn't need any more cushion.
B is giving a terrified look to a sweet lady during dinner.
Sunday was filled with more family time.  We listened to Christmas music while we all played together....until the Cowboys game started.   We could tell B loved all of us being together sitting on the floor with him because he was super happy all day.  He was running around laughing and talking to himself.
There was a lot of this....
 ....giving lovin' to daddy.
Once B went down for a nap, Jer and I got our pillows and blanket and laid in front of the fire.  We heart fires.  It was nice quiet time!

Happy Monday!

Love the pictures! We are dying to have a fire but we need a steady screen. Little man gets into everything and he is so flipping strong. Where did you get yours?
