See this?
And this?
This is what used to be called a DVD/CD holder. I found it at a garage sale a few weeks back for $.50....yes fifty-cents. So I handed over my two quarters and Jer loaded it up. I had been needing something like this for Boston's shoes in his closet. They had been getting a little out of hand lately and it needed to be more organized in there.
Here she is primed and ready for some color. I applied 2 light coats of white primer (spray paint) since the holder was made out of raw wood.
The color I chose was a teal/turquoise-ish kinda color. Leftover spray paint that I had used on these candle holders for our dining room table. It's a great bright boy-ish color for the B-mans shoes.
After 3 light coats she had an awesome new color.
Silly me I forgot to take a "before" picture. Just imagine an empty space where the shoe rack is now. :)
That one shelf was housing all of his shoes. No bueno.
That's more like it....nice and organized. Its a temporary fix until we get actual shelves/cubbies built but it works for now!
