Giggle Galore Is Here

Today I have a special person on the blog.  She's a sorority sister of mine and an awesome crafter/party thrower.  She has a sweet family and an adorable blog.  I'm so excited for her to share a super cute Halloween post!

Hello!  I'm Mariah and when I'm not busy as a multi-tasking mom to 3 active kids you'll find me over at my blog Giggles Galore.  I'm a craft junkie, a party enthusiast and I believe in making the ordinary extraordinary one smile at a time!  I'm so excited to be here at Our Love and Our Blessing today sharing one of my favorite Halloween treats.

This Halloween turn store bought cotton candy into a fun treat with these Sticky Spider Webs.  I made these sticky treats for our Spooktacular Halloween Spider Party and today I'm going to show you how to make them.

1. Gather your supplies.  You'll need cotton candy, striped paper straws, plastic spider rings, and a box.

2. Take a striped straw and bunch the cotton candy around the top.

3. Poke the spider ring into the cotton candy.

4. I spray painted my box black and poked holes in the top.

5. Embellish the front of the box with a custom design from Swish Designs Halloween printable package.

6. Place your sticky spider webs into the box for a spooktacular treat!

There you have it an easy Halloween treat perfect for your parties or classroom treats!  I'd love for you to come stop by Giggles Galore and say hi!  You can also find me and more Halloween inspiration on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.

Is Mariah not amazing or what?  Her blog is adorable and it has tons of cute party and holiday crafts/ideas.  If you want to see more, go check out her blog!

Becky From Mrs. to Mama

Hello readers of Our Love and Our Blessing! I am so excited to be taking over Jen's piece of space on the internet and tell you guys a little about me and my crazy life.

To start off with, my name is Becky, and I blog over at From Mrs to Mama. I blog about all things related to marriage, motherhood, and our fun and blessed journey through life. Sometimes a little crazy. Always a whole bunch of fun.
When Jen asked me to blog about how I do it and how I make it work with my schedule I instantly had a smile on my face. Why? Because I get asked this question actually quite a bit. Not just on the internet world, but in the real world. At work. By family members. Even complete strangers.

How do you do it?

I wish I had some amazing answer for you. Sure, it may sound crazy that 3 nights a week I work the night shift at the hospital as a registered nurse at the top rated critical care unit in the State, and then come home to a very active 20 month old, make her day adventurous and exciting, clean the house, and then have a home cook meal ready on the table by the time my husband came home. Oh and did I mention I'm pregnant with baby #2?

Now. Did that make you a little nauseous just reading that?

I know it did me. The truth is... yes, I do all those things... but it isn't always grande. I don't always get the best activities in. I don't always have the most delicious meal on the table. I don't always get all the laundry put away. But I make it work.

We make it work.

It works for our family. I don't know anything else. I don't feel any more overwhelmed at times than any other mom. This is my life... this is my everyday.

I often times look at the mom who has triplets and I say the exact same thing... how do you do it?

Her response to me? I just do. It's the only life I know.

And I smile. Because I get it. We are all super because of that mom title. No matter the situation. No matter the number. What we do or what we don't do. We are all unique, hardworking, and would do anything for our family.

So does my schedule seem crazy to outside person looking in? Sure. But does it make me any better than you, you, or you?

Absolutely not. I'm a mom. It's the best title in the world, and I would do anything to make sure that my children grow up knowing how hard I worked to make their life was full of love and special memories.

Being a mom is special. And it definitely brings out the super woman in us all.

Holy smokes....isn't Becky just freakin' awesome?!  She's constantly blowing me away with all of the energy she has (working a full time job and being a stay at home mom).  ANNNDDD....let's not forget that she also has/finds time to blog every-single-day!!!  I highly suggest you check out her blog and become inspired.  :)

Kelley from The Grant Life

Hi Our Love and Our Blessing friends!  My name is Kelley and I blog over at the Grant life.  I'm a momma to two blonde haired, blue eyed babies and I run a little online store called loveables.  I love diet coke, How I Met Your Mother, twitter and anything with sugar.  Throw in a rainy day where I can snuggle with my babies and I'm a happy lady.

I have recently really started to enjoy cooking.. and by recently I mean when pinterest came out.  Ha.  I kid.  Today Im going to share a recipe that I dreamed up after a few trips to pinterest.

Toasted Coconut French Toast w/ Brown Sugar Glaze

4-6 Eggs
6 Slices of Bread
2 tsp Vanilla Extract
Shredded Coconut

Glaze:
1/2 cup Butter
1/4 cup Brown Sugar

Ok Im sure everyone knows how to make french toast but I just going to go through my recipe like you've never made it before.  Haha.  Just in case someone really hasnt made it and is truly missing out.

1. Whip eggs in fluffy
2. Mix in vanilla
3. Coat bread in egg mixture
4. Put on skillet or griddle
5. Sprinkle coconut on side that is face up
6. Flip and cook until coconut is toasted

Glaze:
Melt butter in small saucepan.  Add brown sugar and mix until blended.  Bring to a boil, remove from heat and serve over french toast.

Heaven.  The glaze turns almost caramel-y and is so delicious over the toasted coconut.  This is going on my menu forever.

I hope yall liked my recipe.. and if yall get a chance stop by my blog and say hello!

Seriously, doesn't Kelley's recipe look amazing??  Thanks so much for sharing this yummy-ness with us!  Go check out her blog, her and her family are precious!!

Celeste from Our Fabulous Life In The Suburbs

Well hello Jen's lovely followers! I feel so honored that Jen asked me to guest post for her while she's taking the week off. I'm a loyal follower of her blog, AND I'm lucky enough to live close to her, which means that we're actually planning on meeting up for a little bloggy date soon! Try not to be too jealous :)

You can find me over at Our Fabulous Life in the Suburbs, where I chronicle the daily lives of myself, my supercute hubby, and our supercrazy little dog.
My husband Arsen and I were married last September here in Texas. Although wedding planning was probably the most stressful thing I've ever done, it was definitely worth it! We had a fabulous wedding with all of our friends and family and it truly was the wedding of my dreams. You can read all about it here

But Arsen and I didn't have just one wedding....we had two! Arsen is Armenian, and his family wanted a traditional Armenian wedding. At first we tried to plan one huge combo wedding, but eventually we all decided two separate weddings would be best. You can read all about our big fat Armenian wedding here.

On my blog you'll find posts about our daily life living in the suburbs, stories about crazy things my tiny dog has done, updates on what we're doing to our new house, and every great once in awhile a DIY project or recipe that I've tried. Basically anything and everything that happens in my life goes on the blog, so you never know what you're gonna get. I like to keep things interesting :)

To introduce myself to you, I thought I'd share a little list of my five favorite things. Get excited.

1.  My hubs (duh)

So far I'm really digging this whole marriage thing. The best thing about it is just getting to spend so much time with such a crazy, goofy, sweet guy. Don't get me wrong, things aren't perfect and blissful all the time. There were most definitely some growing pains in the first few months of marriage. It has been a challenge at times, but at the end of the day there isn't anyone else I would rather spend my life with. And look at him! He's just so pretty to look at every day :)

2. My furbaby

I'm head over heels for my little Addie. I treat her like an actual child, and I make no apologies for it. I could go on and on about how adorable and smart and crazy she is, but I'd hate to lose you here. So I'll just post another precious picture.

3. My Family

I am a blessed girl when it comes to family. From my parents to my aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins, I love 'em all. I'm an only child, and I think that has made for a closer relationship with my parents than a lot of people have. They would do anything in the world for me, and from day one I have never doubted their love. I feel super lucky to have them.

4. My Girls

I love love love my friends. I've never been the girl to have a million girl friends... I'd much rather have a few girls that I'm superclose to. All of my very favorite girls but one live in Oklahoma, and she is moving from Texas to Colorado soon. Break my heart why don't ya! But the fact that I don't get to see them all the time makes me appreciate them that much more. They are the best friends a girl can have, and they were fabulous Bridesmaids. I adore them all!

5. Oklahoma

 via

I am an Oklahoma girl at heart, and have been a very reluctant Texan. I lived in Oklahoma for the majority of the first 25 years of my life, and it will always be home. All of my family and most of my friends are there, and I'm never happier than when I'm home visiting them. If I had my way we would live there now....actually, if I had my way we would live on a beach somewhere, but Oklahoma would be my next choice. It's not the most exciting place in the world, but I love it oh-so-much.

So there you have it! You are now one step closer to learning all about me. If you're intrigued, I'd love it if you would come visit my little blog! You can also find me on Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest. Stop by and say hello, I love making new bloggy friends! If you made it this far, thanks for sticking it out. And Jen, thanks again for having me!

Is she not adorable or what?!  I say so!  I hope you enjoyed getting to know her and I hope you will head over to her blog to read more!  :)

GUEST: Danielle at Framed Frosting

I'm so excited to have my FIRST guest post on this little ol' blog!  She's a great bloggy friend of mine!  She's seriously so stinkin' sweet and I can't wait for y'all to get to know her!  She's a MUST FOLLOW!  So, without further ado, here's a little bit about her......

Why hello there! My name is Danielle and I blog over at Framed Frosting
Framed Frosting
About Me:  I first began my blog in April of last year as a way to document the end of my high school years. Now it has evolved to be about all things fashion and beauty related. I love to bake too and am hoping to include some more recipes on the blog soon along with some DIY projects.
I am also obsessed with chevron and mint green, which you'll see by my blog design!

How Did You Come Up With the Name of Your Blog?
It all started with these jewelry frames I was making at the time. The "Framed" was literal and the "frosting" meaning jewelry which was inspired from the movie, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.
What is Your Favorite Blog Post?
That would definitely be my Favorite Things Party. I had gotten the idea off Pinterest and decided to host my own party. It was so much fun and my friends brought great items for everyone!
What Do You Write About Most?
I absolutely love fashion. I could shop online and create outfits all day long. My latest outfit was one I put together for my Friday's Fancies post. The theme was Chambray and I paired it with white to create a classic outfit that would be perfect for any day or occasion!
What are 5 Things You Couldn't Live Without?
1. my macbookPro
2. dark chocolate
3. Grey's Anatomy
4. colorful cardigans
5. Starbucks coffee
So there's a little bit about me! Now head on over to my blog to learn more and follow along with me! You can also connect with me on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. Oh and I'm on Bloglovin too!

See!  She's awesome.  Head over to her blog and let her know you are coming from my blog.  :)
