Brown Then Gold Then White

The color brown has become old news in our house.

Our new colors: whites, gray's and golds.  I'm one of those that likes change and often changes my mind of what I like.  My motto is: "Just spray paint it."  If you want a little change in something.  Spray paint is the key to change.

And that's what I did.  These brown crosses were my victims.  They didn't seem to mind, though.
Since it was a pretty dark color I used a little white spray primer first.
My first light coat of primer.  I ended up doing 2 light coats.
Soooo....I thought I wanted them to be gold.  I have somewhat of a gold-fetish lately.  But after spraying them gold I wasn't diggin' it.  So I chose my next favorite color.  White.
Rustoleum is the only way to go when you use spray paint.  It covers well and it sprays evenly.
Walla.  Much better after about 3 light even coats.
Their new home: the mantle.  Next to some gold.  :)
Love!  And it took me a total of 20 minutes (during nap time) from start to finish.

Exactly the change that I was looking for.
Have you used spray paint lately and made a difference in something you already had?  Spray pain anything gold?  I'll be paint something gold soon.  Very soon.  :)
