In July, Jennifer and I took a trip to Boston, Mass. We'd always wanted to go to Boston, having heard lots of wonderful things about it, not to mention its historical significance. We knew full well that a trip to Boston would not be doable with a baby or even a toddler. So, we decided to head there in July to celebrate our 4th Anniversary and Jennifer's 30th Birthday. On Jennifer's birthday, we rented a car and drove out to Gloucester and Rockport. The entire trip was awesome, one we won't forget. Here are just a few photos along the way.
Our first morning - the pier in the near distance is the World Trade Center on Boston Harbor
Jennifer enjoying a Homeade Lemonade in Boston Common.
A picnic in Boston Common.
I surprised Jennifer with a Dinner Cruise aboard the Odyssey on Boston Harbor.
A quick photo in the subway.
The Observatory at the top of Prudential Tower.
We took a guided tour of a portion of the Freedom Trail.
Our guide was John Hancock's wife.
Me aboard the USS Constitution, the world's oldest commissioned warship.
The Bunker Hill Monument.
Dinner in the North End (Italian Neighborhood)
Can't go without some Cannoli, and nearby Mike's Pastry is the hottest place in town.
My beautiful, pregnant wife on the coastline of Rockport, Mass.
I can climb big rocks, too.
This very narrow street is full of quaint shops, restaurants and a few ice cream parlors.
It carries you out to a small cul de sac on the bay and a long jetty you can walk out on.
You may remember this memorial in Gloucester, Mass. from the movie
"The Perfect Storm," often called "The Man at the Wheel."
